🕒 Employment Type: Full-Time

💼 Level: Mid-Level to Senior

We are seeking a skilled Observability Engineer | Monitoring Specialist to design, implement, and maintain reliable observability and monitoring solutions across modern technology environments. This role focuses on improving system visibility through metrics, logs, traces, alerts, dashboards, and performance analysis while helping engineering and operations teams identify issues quickly and maintain highly available services.

🎯 Key Responsibilities• Design and implement comprehensive observability strategies across applications, infrastructure, networks, and cloud environments.

• Develop and maintain monitoring solutions for system availability, performance, reliability, and capacity.

• Configure and manage metrics, logs, distributed tracing, dashboards, and alerting systems.

• Monitor production environments and identify abnormal system behavior or performance degradation.

• Build meaningful dashboards that provide visibility into application and infrastructure health.

• Develop and optimize alerts to detect critical incidents while reducing unnecessary notifications and alert fatigue.

• Establish appropriate Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and operational metrics.

• Analyze system metrics, application logs, traces, and events to identify potential problems.

• Support incident response teams by providing monitoring data and technical insights during production incidents.

• Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring performance, availability, and reliability issues.

• Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps, SRE, cloud, network, and security teams to improve system observability.

• Instrument applications and services to expose relevant metrics, logs, and tracing information.

• Implement distributed tracing across microservices and complex application architectures.

• Integrate monitoring tools with cloud platforms, container environments, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Monitor infrastructure components including servers, databases, containers, networks, and cloud resources.

• Develop monitoring standards, best practices, and reusable observability patterns.

• Automate monitoring configuration, alert deployment, dashboard creation, and operational tasks where possible.

• Support infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management practices for observability platforms.

• Monitor resource utilization, capacity trends, and system performance to support proactive infrastructure planning.

• Identify performance bottlenecks and recommend technical improvements.

• Analyze application response times, error rates, throughput, latency, and resource consumption.

• Maintain observability integrations with incident-management, ticketing, collaboration, and notification platforms.

• Support real-time monitoring and operational reporting for critical business services.

• Establish logging standards and centralized log-management practices.

• Assist development teams in improving application instrumentation and diagnostic capabilities.

• Participate in incident reviews, post-incident analysis, and continuous reliability improvement initiatives.

• Document monitoring architecture, alert rules, dashboards, troubleshooting procedures, and operational processes.

• Evaluate emerging observability technologies and recommend suitable tools and platforms.

• Support observability improvements across hybrid, multi-cloud, and distributed environments.

• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to engineering and operations teams.

✅ Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Proven experience in observability, monitoring, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, systems engineering, or infrastructure operations.

• Strong understanding of monitoring and observability principles.

• Hands-on experience with metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerting, and incident monitoring.

• Experience with observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, Elastic, or equivalent technologies.

• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and cloud-native architectures.
