Release Lead

Role Overview

The Release Lead will be responsible for managing and governing the end-to-end release lifecycle for Government Entity Org Common Digital Platform (CDP) applications. The role will establish standardized release processes, coordinate releases across multiple CDP projects, drive CI/CD/CT, and ensure applications are released safely, efficiently, and with minimal business disruption.

Key Responsibilities

Define and maintain the Release Policy, Master Release Plan, and End-to-End Release Gate process for all CDP applications.Own and maintain the Master Release Calendar, coordinating release schedules across projects and ensuring there are no release conflicts.Work closely with the Change Management team to ensure all CDP applications complete the required release governance and readiness checks before CAB approval.Drive CI/CD and DevOps adoption, including automated application deployments across development, testing, staging, and production environments.Establish and improve automated release practices using DevOps, BDD, containerized deployment approaches, and relevant CI/CD tools.Work closely with Development, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, Security, and Change teams to ensure seamless and repeatable release execution.Define release readiness criteria, entry/exit gates, deployment checklists, rollback plans, and post-release validation processes.Manage release dependencies across applications, platforms, integrations, and SaaS solutions.Use tools such as JIRA to track release activities, dependencies, risks, issues, and readiness.Set up and leverage application monitoring and release monitoring tools to support deployment validation and early detection of issues.Establish release dashboards and KPIs, including release success rate, deployment frequency, failed releases, rollback rate, release lead time, and release-related incidents.Provide regular release status, performance, and success reporting to CDP leadership and relevant stakeholders.Continuously identify opportunities to improve release automation, standardization, quality, and time-to-market.Experience & Skills

Proven experience as a Release Lead / Release Manager in large-scale enterprise technology environments.Strong understanding of application and SaaS development and release lifecycles.Hands-on understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, automated deployments, containerization, and BDD.Experience with JIRA and release/change management processes.Experience working with monitoring, deployment, and DevOps toolsets.Strong understanding of enterprise change governance, CAB processes, release controls, and production deployment practices.Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple technology teams and concurrent projects.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on automation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.Experience managing releases across multiple applications, environments, integrations, and technology teams.Key Success Measures

Release Specialist

Role Overview

The Release Specialist will support the Release Lead in the day-to-day management and coordination of releases across Government Entity's, Common Digital Platform (CDP) applications. The role will ensure releases are properly planned, reviewed, scheduled, validated, and executed in line with the established release and change management processes.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage day-to-day release activities across CDP applications and projects.Review application release plans and ensure all required information, dependencies, timelines, and activities are clearly defined.Align individual project release schedules with the Master Release Calendar and highlight potential conflicts or dependencies.Review and validate release readiness for UAT, Stage, and other pre-production environments and provide release approvals as per defined governance.Review deployment plans, release notes, implementation steps, rollback plans, and validation activities to ensure they meet release standards.Ensure release teams complete the required release gates and readiness criteria before progressing to the next environment.Track release activities, dependencies, risks, issues, and approvals using JIRA and relevant release management tools.Monitor adherence to the agreed release process and identify, record, and report release violations and exceptions.Provide accurate release violation and compliance data to the Release Lead for reporting and continuous improvement.Coordinate with Development, QA, DevOps, Change Management, and project teams to resolve release-related issues and ensure timely execution.Support release deployment and post-release validation activities, including coordination of deployment status and confirmation of successful implementation.Conduct release process training and awareness sessions for project and technology teams.Maintain release documentation, records, approvals, and audit evidence.Support the Release Lead in preparing release dashboards, KPIs, status reports, and release performance data.Identify recurring release issues and recommend improvements to release processes, automation, and operational efficiency.Experience & Skills

Experience in a Release Management, Release Coordination, IT Operations, DevOps, or Application Support role.Good understanding of application development, testing, deployment, and release lifecycles.Experience working with UAT, Stage, and Production release processes.Working knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, automated deployments, and application deployment practices.Hands-on experience with JIRA and release/change management tools.Experience reviewing deployment plans, release notes, implementation plans, and rollback procedures.Understanding of ITIL/change management and CAB processes is preferred.Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work across multiple technology teams.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent releases and dependencies.Ability to identify process violations, risks, and release readiness gaps and escalate them appropriately.Key Success Measures

Quality Analyst

Role Overview

The Quality Analyst will support the QA Lead in ensuring consistent adoption of quality processes and practices across the end-to-end CDP product delivery lifecycle. The role will work closely with Product, QC, Testing, Release, and other teams to ensure quality practices are understood, followed, measured, and continuously improved.

Key Responsibilities

Perform Quality Gate checks and process audits to ensure teams are following defined quality processes.Review Product Test Strategies and Plans and identify quality or process gaps.Ensure agreed quality processes, checkpoints, and approvals are correctly followed and embedded in JIRA workflows.Drive adoption of quality practices across Product, QC, Testing, Release, and other delivery teams.Conduct QA and quality process training for QC, testing, and product team members.Track quality/process adherence, identify recurring gaps, and work with teams to address them.Measure quality process adoption through KPIs, dashboards, and regular reporting.Identify opportunities and support continuous improvement of product quality processes and practices.Work closely with the QA Lead to improve quality maturity and adoption across CDP teams.Experience & Skills

Experience in Quality Assurance, Software Quality, Testing, or Product Delivery.Hands-on experience conducting process/quality audits and identifying compliance and process gaps.Good understanding of the end-to-end product/software delivery lifecycle.Experience with JIRA workflows, testing processes, quality gates, and process adoption.Strong communication, collaboration, and training skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Understanding of Agile, SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps, and release processes.
